We're getting close to the move, and having no familiarity with doctors, can anyone recommend a good (i.e. skilled, friendly, good staff, short wait times etc.)...

Pediatrician?

Adult PCP?

Gynecologist (not necessarily an OB, my wife is done having kids)?

Dentist (ideally also a good pediatric dentist)?

I guess being in the Cave Spring vicinity would be ideal. Our insurance will be Anthem blue cross. Genuinely appreciate any input, thank you.

Dentist: John Carter. His office is on Brambleton Avenue, across the street from Cave Spring Middle School.

The Carilion Brambleton Family Physicians on Brambleton Ave SW is a good operation in my opinion. If you are looking to find a physician this would be my first place to go. I don't believe all Drs. take on new patients around here.
Anthem is a good insurance plan to have also. Robert C Patten Jr MD is my favorite doc there. For women, Christy Arthur MD is good. Good Luck!

I agree with all these suggestions. We use Dr. Mayershak on the corner of Colonial and Electric Rd. (989-4549) in SW county. They also have a good pediatric-only dentist in their office and are good if you are scared of the dentist. Your wife should check out the Newcomers Club Newcomers Club of Roanoke Valley: Home Page. She will find lots of women who are new to the area and can help her with all kinds of helpful suggestions.
