Hi all, I was wondering where are the good places (or good teachers) for voice, piano, and/or guitar lessons? I'm particularly interested in brushing up on my singing, and at some point would like to learn how to play my guitar. I was thinking piano lessons for the kiddos might be nice at some point, too. Anyone have a great experience learning from someone and want to share? Thanks!

we have had a good experience with Hochsteins in the city....they offer classes in most every musical area....dont be afraid that it is in Rochester....it is right off the highway and easy to get to....it took us 20/25 minutes coming from the edge of pittsford

The House of Guitars in Irondequoit used to offer more "rock" style lessons some years ago (guitar, keyboard), not sure if they still do.

Hochstein is very reputable, but expensive. I just started back with taking piano lessons - I took lessons and played when I was much younger, but haven't played at all in a very long time. I'm going to the Hungness School of Music (in the city on Norris Dr. in the Cobbs Hill neighborhood) - much more affordable than Hochstein and I've been extremely happy with the quality of the lessons.
