Hi All,

I am new to Rochester area and I am looking for Swimming instructions. There are plenty of pools around but since I need one with swimming coaches. Also, would like to know if there are any skiing schools around. I am planning to make best of my winter stay here :-). all suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

The YMCA has a good swimming program for kids. Not sure if there is one for adults, but I assume there would be. I think most of the ski hills around give lessons. Surely Swain and Bristol do. I think you might even be able to take lessons on the ski hill at Northhampton Park.

A lot of the Town Recreation Centers also have swimming lessons (again, might not be adult)..... if you do not belong to the YMCA. That is just another option........

Just to clarify, you can take swimming lessons at the YMCA, even if you are not a member. If you get their brochure, you'd have to pay the "Program" price vs. the YMCA price, which is about $30 or so more for 12 weeks I think.
