I would call them "Andromeda Moments", to appreciate to wonder of the dawn. (Okay, they should be Aurora Moments, but that name is taken by another character).

In this spring break, I have tried to be a moment at least out on the porch, taking in that light. It may be my memories of Hilton Head Island at being out on the beach at dawn.....and the many times when I slept in and missed that..............

..............but for whatever reason, I try to greet it now in the country.

So the question is, do you? What do you "seek"?

Being retired I never get up early enough to greet the sunrise.

Also in CA we see sunsets over the ocean. Once I saw a moonset over the ocean at 7am. That was pretty cool.

I do. And I appreciate the dawn. But I'm not sitting on a porch.

The moment when dawn arrives until the first rays of the sun spread across the country... I love it.

I hate daylight savings time, because I miss dawn and sunrise sometimes by being too busy when it finally gets here.

Not in the winter, but as soon as early spring begins...which where I live is late February and March. I have a view of the distant hills and of the sea to the east. It is one of the best parts of any day to watch the sun rise and land light up.

Every chance I get. I'm a morning person and the quiet of dawn is my favorite time of day.

If I'm seeing a sunrise, something has gone terribly wrong. I'm a late sleeper.

Sunsets are more my thing.

During the work week, I don't see sunrises, hence why they are so special when I do get to see them.

The sunsets at the ranch are magnificent! I may be awake by then and how the sun reflects into my bed room, with the Texas Hill Country trees, gives me a very "Toto-Africa" feeling.

The house is oriented to face N-S with only 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom window to the east and only one window to the west. Up in the loft, my belly dance teacher suggested a west facing octagonal window....but she suggested it after the plans had been finalized. At around a buck per sq ft, changes would have been expensive, so I didn't go for it.

It is something of a SIGH moment but on the other hand, the Loft is on the short end of ventilation, without a ceiling fan (low ceiling) and it probably just as well that I didn't have an additional heat source place up there.

Well, a belly dancer is not an architect. Nor a guru. Generally.

That said, I do enjoy the sunrise from a comfortable chair while sipping hot herbal tea since I've quit caffiene, and viewing it out the window.

I'm not an airy fairy kind of person. At least not since I quit smoking pot. But, I do enjoy quiet moments of meditation.
