If you use Verizon wireless 4G for your cell phone, what download speeds are you getting?
I am specifically interested in the Cirtus Heights (Sunrise/Greenback), McClellan and downtown (near the Capitol) areas.

I am thinking of changing carriers but I am hesitant to sign another 2 year contract if I won't get a significant boost.

A test can be run here: Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test
They have an app that I use here: Speedtest.net - Mobile

They are a legit site and I am not spamming, just looking for real world results and not Verizon's "map".

Thanks.

Who are you with right now? What do you need the uber quick speeds to do? I have T-Mobile and have decent 4g everywhere I go in the metro area. It's plenty fast for anything I want to do on my phone. Plus, with Verizon and their data caps, how much can you really take advantage of broadband-like speeds?

Thanks.
I purposely left out my carrier as I was interested in the actual speeds people were getting on Verizon and not a discussion about carriers.

Just trying to be helpful. Verizon's data plans are absurdly expensive IMO, so I was curious of the real benefit in lightning fast connections.

One advantage is using the phone as a "hot spot".
The Verizon plan I am looking at is about the same price as I have now. But it would only make sense to upgrade if the speeds were faster.
Thanks.
