My daughter will be working this winter for Kirkwood. Are there any areas of SLT that she should avoid?
She's not into casinos etc. and would prefer to be in CA. There seem to be several rooms for rent in AL Tahoe and the Y area, that are on the shuttle routes to Kirkwood. Are they OK areas?
Any advice would be appreciated as she will probably have to rent without seeing the property.
Thanks

This would probably be better addressed in the California forum.

Gardnerville is another option for renting a place, and probably cheaper.

I understand the preference of living in CA. But would there not be better tax advantages of using a address in NV?

I guess a tax advantage would work for me, but I can't see it really impacting that much on a 23 year old seasonal worker
She also needs to be on the ski shuttle route.

I don't think there are any seedy areas of SLT, she should be ok. Look for rooms to rent on craigs list.
