There is a new restaurant/bar/dance hall that just opened at the corner of westoverhills & 151. It is called The Stockyard. I went to the grand opening last night. It is great. The restaurant was not open yet but the bar and dance hall is. They have local bands, lots of big screen TV's and a great outdoor patio. The decor is totally Texan. I hope it does well as there is nothing in this side of town to do, except for a few small bars.
They are still working out details for Happy Hours specials.

yes, next to Rudy's.
I agree about it taking off, everyone working there and the GM's seem very nice and eager to please.
Nothing like a good steak!

Is this the old Barn Door restaurant??? I was hoping that big building would not go to waste and it seems like a good idea to put some good 'ol fashioned entertainment in there! Have to check it out soon! :-)

That's exactly where it is. They said they have a website, thestockyardsa.com, but I couldn't find anything yet.

I have seen more activity around there but missed the announcement for the grand opening! I can't wait to try it out. I wish they would get their web site up and running.
