I will be picking up my girlfriend at the greyhound bus station, anybody have any info about the parking situation there? I want to park and get down and wait inside, where's the safest and/or best place to park around there? I don't really go downtown so I don't have a clue what to expect there.

There's a large parking garage directly across the street, but you'll pay for it. There's a small lot next to the station, but I am not sure if it's open to the public. Probably. There's also onstreet metered parking all around there.

There is a small parking lot a stones throw away. I have never had any problem in the times I have had
to go.

I think you can park for a short time at the lot by the station. I remember doing it a few years ago......but things might have changed

Best bet is the parking lot across the street (I think there's a Bill Millers there). You will have to pay, even if you're just picking up. Careful if you park in the lot directly behind the station. Some spaces are reserved for package pickups only. I parked there 4 times in the past. 3 times I made it out OK, last time, my car got towed. Yeah, I know, my fault. I played with fire and got burned.

You can't really tell that it's a Bill Millers (right across St Marys from the station) because the building doesn't look like a Bill Millers, but the paid lot behind that would probably be the best spot.

I just rode a bus 2 sundays ago. I wouldn't get off if I were you. some of the travelers are a bit treacherous. I noticed that there were a number of ppl parking on st marys side betw martin & pecan across from the station (westside of st marys).

I ended up parking on Convent Street, in one of the city parking meter spots. There was better lighting there (got there at 10:15ish pm) as opposed to the other close by lots. Made it out of there safe. Thanks for the replies
