I'm looking into some organizations locally for self employed businesses or small business owners.

I've found NASE (National Association of Self Employed), but it doesn't appear to have any local chapter...or any chapters at all.

Does anyone have any resources here locally? My business is getting very busy, but I'm getting bogged down with admin and paperwork.

Have you checked out to see if SA has a small business association (SBA)? Or a local SCORE chapter?

Check out www.sba.gov. This is one of the things I was going to look into as well during my visit next week.

Yes, Chimpie.....I went to SCORE about two years ago when I needed help finding a CPA that understood my business. While they offer a lot of good information for starter companies, they didn't have what I was looking for.

I'm really wanting to find an organization that has networking with other small business owners in this area. I know there are several, but I just can't remember the name.

NASE has some great benefits including some kind of health care insurance and other things. It's sort of like AARP, but for small businesses.....but no people contact. I'd also like to meet some local "mom and pops" and see if anyone belongs to NASE before I plunk down some cash to join.
