My lease at my apartment runs out the end of Sept, and I'm looking for a place, short term, a month, maybe two, while buying a house. I would like to be in the North/Northwest areas, as that is where I am buying. I would rather not pay $100 a day if possible. Any ideas??

I've stayed at In-Town Suites when working for long periods out of town. Works out to about $30.00-$35.00 bucks a day.

If your stay is longer than a month, you get the hotel/motel tax refunded too.

Thank you. I will check in to that. The places like Residence Inn, etc..., are almost $100 a day. I'm not sure how long I will have to be in temporary housing.

Can you ask your landlord about going month to month? When we bought our house, there was about a three month gap between our lease ending and closing. It's a common scenario, so hopefully they'll be open to that.
