Went back to Home Depot today looking for a specific additive for ethanol - found a small bottle that treats 5 gal. for about $2. If it works, that beats the $6/gal. ethanol-free gas at R&R Tractor. They had a larger container that treated something like 80 gal, but I want to try the smaller container using premium gas to see how it works first.

Default Ethanol treatment

Am trying Home Depot additive for ethanol containing gas ($2 bottle treats 5 gal. of gas). Will be adding it to premium grade gas. They have a larger bottle that treats 80 gal., for a better deal. Want to see how this works first.

ethynol, ah yes ethynol why do some states can get by and use good gas on their cars etc., and other states are punished and have to use ethynol watered down and harmful to machinery gas--- it boggles the mind it should be mandatory across the country, not just ruin some states working machines and let the others thrive--- makes no since why some states must and others do not have to comply with this ethynol diluted gasoline problem or is it an under the table program...

Those additives are just for gasoline storage, it does nothing to get rid of the ethanol that is hydroscopic and will screw up the carburetor if left in it during storage.

Default Ethanol free gas

So you are saying it is still better to buy the $6/gal. Ethanol-free gas than to use the additives?
