I'm relocating out to rural Bandera, Lake Medina Shores area.

In researching high speed internet providers, especially by exact address info, the selection of choices is very poor. Can't get internet from Time Warner or AT&T.

Instead the options at this point seem to be Indian Creek Internet, Hughes Satellite Internet, Wild Blue Satellite Internet, Rock Solid Wireless Internet, and Internet America Wireless.

The reviews are mostly borderline positive to poor on all of the above. Are there any other companies that I'm missing? Or can anyone living in the area that has one of the above services tell me about their experiences? Thanks so much!

According to their service area map no.

Did you look into coverage via 3g.com? (or 4g coverage)

I have had fairly good luck with my Verizon Broadband, (off Medina Hwy from Kerrville) but never tried it from your location. I have friends that use Broadband booster antennas with great luck.

I had HughesNet when I lived out there and they were just ok. Expensive!!! I had to get a middle of the road plan to ensure consistant and reliable service. Did I say expensive yet? It's also tough to get English speaking customer service too. Good luck but sadly your options are limited out there. On the upside, you will enjoy living out there, especially when the lake comes back up

Thanks for the responses. I wish there were more options out there with high speed internet but yes it's definitely something that is going to be a challenge. The services that do exist just have way to many mixed to negative reviews, but of course the internet often becomes a complaining ground for many people when it comes to business and services.
