I was pulled over because of my front plates which were on my dash board by the way, when I explained to the officer why they were on my dash board he said ok I didn't see it then he ask for my lic/reg/ins...exc. which I gave to them (3 officers were present) after verifying my info they came back and told me I didn't have a license due to a restriction B) A licensed driver 21 years of age or older must be in the front seat and for me to call some one to sit in the driver seat with a valid license or they will tow my vehicle. Fine I did what they told me, what I don't understand is why they asked me to step out of my vehicle like if I was a criminal and searched my vehicle WITHOUT my consent and was told to leave my phone in my vehicle as well.

Makes No Sense Stay Away From The AH Area.

So, you were driving on a learner's permit. Likely got them to wondering what other laws you thought were beneath you..........

Searching the car without consent is inexcusable, though.

He may have had something on his person that gave them PC.......he seems to gloss over him "mistakes".......oh - and if they were REALLY such jerks, they'd have cited him for not having the front plate mounted (there's NO legal defense to that), and then towed his car for no license.

You were caught driving in violation of your restrictions, and your front plate wasn't mounted properly, and you didn't get a citation, and you walked away unscathed.......and you're mad.

Default Kids driving,

Kids driving around illegally should avoid Alamo Heights, yes. Cops there are aware of whom is in there.
Druggies also should pay heed to this good advice.

Gotta love these threads where certain people just love to make the "shame on you" comments. LOL

Either way, I do agree that the cop was just doing his job in this case and was actually pretty nice to the OP considering all the violations he/she admitted to.

Cop probably told you to leave your phone in the car because of its camera capabilities. We all know how much cops love cameras these days.

The real LOL is that he or she actually believes that by posting this, people are going to stay away from Alamo Heights. Super LOLz. Kind of a silly thread.
