HI TO EVERYBODY!
i hope you guys are doin great. i know there is a lot of mexican people or people of mexican descent in san antonio and i have a question for you guys. from which state of mexico is your background? i know there is a lot of people from distrito federal and nuevo leon but would you say there is more people from those places than it is from tamaulipas for example? most mexican people or mexican descent are from san luis potosi or in san antonio you can find people from different states?
i hope you guys understand what im tryin to say here, my level of english is intermediate, you can correct my grammar if you like i know theres some mistakes lol. thanks for the feedback

The more affulent Mexicans are from D.F. and Nuevo Leon. The more middle class immigrants are from Chihuhua. Based on my 26 years of experience in San Antonio.

Perhaps the wealthier crowd.
When in SA, I tend to be mainly on the Southside or rural South Bexar County, most people I have met in SA who are Mexican in these area have roots in various areas of Nuevo Leon, Choahuila, and Tamaulipas, either they are from there or have parents or grandparents who are. Although I am sure there are Chilango's in SA, I personally have yet to meet one.

Had always assumed that a lot of the recent (last 20 years) wealthier immigrants were from Nuevo Leon, especially after Sonterrey entered the local lexicon as an amalgam of Sontera and Monterrey.

It is logical that most are from the closest states to Texas, this is Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon and Coahuila.

i hope you guys are doin great. i know there is a lot of mexican people or people of mexican descent in san antonio and i have a question for you guys. from which state of mexico is your background? i know there is a lot of people from distrito federal and nuevo leon but would you say there is more people from those places than it is from tamaulipas for example? most mexican people or mexican descent are from san luis potosi or in san antonio you can find people from different states?
