Day one - I was injured at work (my left eye).

Day two - 5 PM. I went see a NP. A small scratch was found on my eyeball while I turned my eyeball and looked to the right.

Day three - 10 AM. Return to NP as per instructed. I was not told to turn my eyeball or look anywhere. NP looked at my left eye while I was looking straight, and she said, "It's healed."

I am confused. Can a scratch on your eyeball be healed that fast?

Yep - the eye is one of the fastest-healing organs we have.

Absolutely. I was involved in a welding accident where a dollop of slag hit the concrete, causing it to explode. A 2" chunk of concrete and slag blasted right into my eye. It was clearly visible to anyone where it had burned my cornea. The docs said it may, or may not heal. I had blurred vision in one corner of my sight for a bit, but it quickly healed without any residual effects.

I've also had trauma to my retina which resulted in a partial loss of vision which healed completely.
