Hello all-
I am heavily considering moving myself and my daughter to Bandera. I'm young (not quite 30 yet) but am looking for a peaceful life. Hopefully a peaceful man to share it with also. Anyway, I guess I can be considered a Jack of All Trades Master of None-I've worked in just about every field-Executive to Bartending and just about everything in between. Looking for any work initially. Also been looking online for an apartment. I plan on taking a trip down there to check it out within the next few weeks. Any words of advice would be helpful as we will be moving down there alone.

Thanks,

Best of luck to you, but if you are intent on starting a new life than wouldn't someplace with more opportunities be a better choice? Bandera is a great place, but there doesn't seem to be a huge job market with well-paying jobs and if you are struggling financially, this "new start" is gonna suck big time! Also, the "singles" scene in Bandera is probably very limited as well.

Personally, I would consider moving closer to San Antonio that way you'd have greater chance of finding a better-paying job and someone you want to spend your life with.

Cheers! M2

Bandera is nice but not so peaceful on weekends when lots of tourists come in/through. You would have better luck further Northwest in Kerville.

Nice town, but expensive place to live. Also the job market there isn't in the pay range you would need to support yourself and a child. We considered Bandera when we moved here and found the prices high for cost of living.

Much more opportunity in San Antonio. Not much opportunity in Bandera... might get more peace and quite then you had in mind.
