Today I drove past Mr Gatti's at 410 and Marbach and they appeared to be closed. I checked their website and there is nothing listed for San Antonio. So even the one on Thousand Oaks is closed? Man, they were always packed whenever I went there.

The strange thing is that there are tons of other locations throughout south Texas listed.

I will miss it. I went there once every couple of months to get my "fix". Their pizza crust is like nobody else's.

Oh Man I haven't had Gatti's in a while!

I'm getting some this weekend for sure! (I'm in Dallas)

I was told the one on 1000 Oaks was closed a while back--and it was always packed, so I don't get that. My son used to go to the one on Marbach with his cousins, but he didn't like it--they used tokens and not the cards like the 1000 Oaks location.

One of many things that will be going away, I would bet.

Mr. Gatti's website still lists a location on Pat Booker Rd. in Universal City.

Mr. Gatti's used to have several locations in San Antonio. I used to work near the location on Wurzbach, and I would partake of their lunch buffet occasionally. I think that one closed about ten years ago. There was also one on Broadway in AH. That one also closed several years ago.

Ok I just went to the one on Pat Booker for the first time. I thought it was the most disgusting place I have ever eaten (ok I lie there was this one truck stop....)! My daughter didn't like it (she liked the truck stop). I was shocked that that place was even in business.

I remember back in the early/mid 80s, Gatti's was very good! I do think they went downhill and concentrated more on the entertainment instead of their food!

The one of Jones Maltsburger was always packed then it just closed, as an alternative there is an incredible pizza company at the corner of blanco and west ave. That place is good but a bit pricey.

i think that there is only one location left in San Antonio. i was shocked to ssee the Thousand Oaks location closed, because i too recall seeing it packed every weekend, and most weeknights. i think they might be pulling out of the market here or something, but it caught my attention a little while ago too.

It was packed because of the cheapo buffet, with lousy pizza. Seriously, folks, it is a lame chain, not real pizza.

It's no different than any other I've been to.

It's funny, it seems people usually have strong opinions towards Mr Gatti's. They either love it or hate it.
