why dont they stick the rodeo back in the freeman. that way the spurs dont have to do this "rodeo road trip"

It's generally the time when the Spurs have gelled and prepared for a deep run in the Playoffs. So the fan base really doesn't raise too many complaints.

The rodeo road trip is usually when the Spurs play their best during the regular season. Fans never complain because of that reason

And because Freeman is WAY too small. They'd lose money hand over fist.

The Rodeo kicked in some of the money to build the AT&T Center. They own part of it. That was one of the reasons it had to be built out there in the middle of nowhere.

It's not just 2 weeks that the Spurs are gone. They're away from tomorrow until the 25th... almost the entire month of February! Then they get to play 3 games in 4 days at home.

Personally, I'd rather see the Spurs use that white elephant downtown during this time, but they would apparently lose far too much money that they usually collect from concessions and parking to make it worth their while.
