Enjoy your day Moms..and thank you for all that you do!

My son (2) will be taking his mom out to lunch (don't worry, I'll drive) and presenting her with his own card, complete with his crayon-scrawled "signature".

That's so sweet! You're a good pop!

My 14yr old son will be sleeping late, waking up hungry, whining because it's too hot, then asking when are we leaving for dinner!
To his credit, he did suggest the restaurant and made me call for reservations last night. Poor kid dreads this weekend every year as Mother's Day is usually within a few days of my birthday. So a few years ago I told him I didn't expect any fancy gifts or anything like that but in trade, he has to do everything I want to do without argument or complaint all weekend! Dragged the poor kid to the farmer's market yesterday. Trying to find something as dreadful for him today...maybe Michael's? Is there a good chick-flick playing anywhere? Oohhhh, I know! We'll go to an antique mall!! I so love being a mom. Who else can we torture if not our own kids!!?!

Clothes shopping is enough to send my 12 year old over the edge. And yes, the torture is delicious.

Happy Mothers Day!

I'm getting a trip to the nursery for some roses that DH is going to plant for me!
He's also headed to the store for some steaks to grill! I didn't want to do the restaurant thing this time; just being lazy at home suits me just fine!
