Ohh my goodness, I am super mad at some of our tourists, first on friday some idiot with Georgia plates merges onto 410 (from Starcrest Rd) and jumps the all the way to the middle, causing me, and one of my co worker to lock our breaks and smoke out about 50ft of skid marks were left on 410, and a thick cloud of smoke, and some foul brake smell, Sorry if any of you were around me, and caught a wiff of that.

Yesterday some Fast And the Furious wannabe Honda, with Florida Plates decided to race an old man in his buick Lesabre on Potranco 1604 where the lane merges, That car has a bad headgasket or some worn out rings, because it was smoking more than a locomotive.

and today, some guy with Durango Plates MX. stopped on the entrance to a freeway waiting for traffic to clear I waited in order to become more patient, but after five long minutes traffic started pilling up and backing up onto marbach, I had no choice, but to savagely pass him through the grass inorder to jump onto 410.

ay ay ay these stupid tourist are going to seriously get us hurt or gonna couse trouble among some of us, On the contrary note, its cool for them to go downtown and spend money

Sometimes it is hard navigating through traffic in an unfamiliar area. Be kind to the tourists, and anyone else ~ you could find yourself in a similar situation some day.

Yes, let them spend the money and help the San Antonio economy. Otherwise forget about downtown in the summer, just chill out in the neighborhood pool, and soon summer will be over and they will go home, far far away from here...

I don't think they were tourists...sounds like locals that work out of state and came "home" for the summer.

That would account for the "I'm the only one on the road" attitude....

I would be willing to bet some money that some of those tourists were actually military. They don't have to change plates because they don't technically live here and a lot of them are really bad drivers. I work on Lackland and experience it all the time.

Yeah, I think RD nailed it, I constantly see bad out-of-state drivers and when they pass me they usually are in uniform...obviously that couldn't be the case with the Mexican tags you saw; but RD and I work in the same building, and both of us are retired military, so we know of what we speak!

actually, most of the really bad ones I've seen were Army headed to Fort Sam. A lot of bad ones get off 90 at Ray Ellison/Hunt Lane and head towards Medina too and that's mostly a joint environment.
however, this city is equal opportunity incompetent, so they could be natives as well. the visitors from south of the border are usually the ones going about 35 MPH on 410 and trying to figure out why everyone is saying they're #1
