Looking for lodging for two nights in Bandera while husband runs race. Not interested in expensive dude ranch. Can anyone recommend Bandera Lodge or other motel in Bandera? Thanks.

River Oaks Motel. They don't have a website but I found this:
River Oaks Inn & Restaurant, Bandera Hotels : Reviews of River Oaks Inn & Restaurant - Yahoo! Travel

If something is going on in Bandera make your reservations early.

Do you have an rv? There are some nice rv parks in Bandera.
There are more, but I can't remember them right now. I'm sure I will and I will post them.

Another:
About Old Texas Square Hotel and the Hotel's History

I've never stayed at any of these but River Oaks seems to be the nicest IMO.

Thank you for you recommendations. River Oaks was just what we were looking for. We are looking forward to our first trip to Hill Country.
