The Express-News has an article on growth in the far west and far northwest sides of SA/Bexar.

They also have a very informative multimedia graphic that goes indepth on said topic.

I posted screen shots of the multimedia.

You should do a Northeast SA/Bexar Indepth Thread.

These are real informative!!

Thanks alot.

A Northeastern Thread would be much appreciated as I am relocating to that area.

Why would they have North, Far North and I-10 Corridor? Every other area is just West, South, East, Southwest and Northeast.

What is the reasoning in doing this? Do they want to make it seem that the northside doesn't have so much growth when we all know that is not the truth?

Why not just leave it "North"?

Maybe i just dumb or sumding.

The article wasn't about the South,Southwest etc it was about the North, Far North and those areas it did name. It another article perhaps we will just see a "North" and then different areas in another section highlighted.

Default Strong recommendation

I highly suggest to those of you who live out in the booming areas of the "Northwest" side to really research the bond that NISD is proposing. NISD is struggling to keep up with all the growth. There are many new neighborhoods out there boasting about how they will soon have their own school, what they may fail to mention is that will happen only if the bond issue passes. Bond information can be found on the NISD web site.

I wonder why the developers aren't made to pay higher impact fees to help cover the impact on schools from the new developments being built.

If I'm not mistaken, some of the home builders are donating land to the Northside ISD to build schools on. Of course, this helps them sell more homes.

Default Bond information

Actually, according to the NISD web site some of the money from this year's bond will be used to purchase land to build schools on. The schools that will built with the money from this year's bond will be built on land purchased with the 2004 bond money.
