I am wanting to start cycling but the only groups I've found so far are geared towards racers/serious cyclists. Am looking for a "regular" club. Is there such an organization? Thanks!!

I haven't tried any local clubs, and usually ride by myself. But I've seen all 3 organizations at charity rides, all seem friendly, and have heard good things about them. Oh, and all have women members -

And, while it is mainly geared for offroad riding, you can always try RasPa - BiKe MoJo SpeaK.

Cheers! M2

Call Bike World in Alamo Heights. Talk to the owner, Cindy Snell. She'll fix you up. They have two locations and she can put you in touch with exactly the right group for you. She knows about groups and events at all levels.

Down by the Zoo there is the Bombay Bicycle Club. There's always a lot of women in there.
