If memory serves, Palm Springs & Cat City are at 9% and the others are at 8%. You can google for California sales tax rates by city, and confirm that.

What do you all think about the city of Indio? Looking at a home border to La Quinta.

There's some good areas in La Quinta along Jefferson that border Indio, South of 111, Ave 48 etc.

Something to keep in mind is there is no fast way to get from LQ to CC. More than likely you will end up taking 111, which is one light after another and can take forever to drive. Ranching Mirage is right next door to CC and has a brand new high school. Because of the school boundaries, I would prefer to send my kids to RMHS, instead of CCHS.
