I am interested in hearing stories of how people in this current job market landed employment.

I am not unemployed, but am looking and finding I get nowhere, it sucks to say the least.

My current employer I know personally, and was randomly offered a job one day. That's how I landed this gig. Been here for 2 years now and want to find something that can offer more growth.

Thank you in advance!

I bribed the boss. Good thing he was also my cousin, otherwise I wouldn't have had a chance.

How did you apply? Online or in person?

When you moved did you have a job lined up? Or did you chance it and find one after you moved? How difficult was it to find a job in another state?

Walk in, I think it gives you an advantages over an online app. You get seen in person so can sell yourself and be remembered before an interview. You also stand out from those who cant be bothered to get off the couch.

Visited the place and applied shortly after.

I moved from CA to MA in December. Applied for a job in January and started working in early March.

I moved from another state and answered an ad in the OC Register. Almost 20 years ago.
