I went over the bridge, going into SF, and I never got anything in the mail. My address for my car is old, but I'd think it would have been forwarded from old address to new address? It seems like this happened before where I never got anything after going over the bridge a long time ago either. So what's up with this program?

You could have paid online and been done with it. Or you could have paid at a kiosk before crossing and been done with it. Or you could get Fastrak and be done with it even now.

If you really like sitting around waiting for mail, the bill will go to the address on file with the DMV. Don't have your address updated with the DMV? You may never get it. Have no fear, though. There will be a fine and registration hold on your car if you don't pay. Seems like a good enough reason to use one of the other payment options, or at the very least keep your address up to date with the DMV.

This is the information you need:

Toll Payment Options | All Electronic Tolling on the Golden Gate Bridge

One-time toll payment online or by phone for people who drive over the bridge very infrequently.

If you crossed the bridge more than 30 days ago, you need to call them directly to see if you've been issued a toll invoice or violation, if there's a possibility your address on file with DMV is not correct. And you need to update your address ASAP--you're supposed to do it within 10 days, and they can (and do) hold you accountable for any notices you don't receive because you failed to do this. You can do it online, so you don't even need to go in.

Just changed my address at DMV online. Thanks.

I don't understand why the pay by plate mail was not forwarded to my new address through the post office forwarding system.

I am calling the phone number now about paying. Was on hold for 5 minutes, the lady came on and said she could not hear me so she hung up. Calling back now. THIS is why I procrastinate this freaking #@$%$#!!!

OK I got a hold of them and they brought it up and I paid over the phone. Thanks all. Disaster averted.

Glad you got it solved. I have had lots of trouble with forwarded mail and mail holds in the past, so I wouldn't count on the USPS to pull through in a time of need.
