I stole this idea from the NYC forum. I'm sure anyone who's lived in the Bay Area, especially SF or Berkeley, has seen plenty crazy ish in their lifetimes.
Probably the worst thing I can remember was a guy high on coke running down University Ave in Berkeley buck-naked screaming he was dying. He wasn't a scrawny crackhead either...at least 250 lbs of muscle. People scattered like roaches when he was coming down the sidewalk. And being Berkeley, people were yelling at the cops not to hurt him as they were attempting to subdue his crazy ass
I also remember a bus on the corner of Univerity & San Pablo Aves honking its horn repeatedly as a bum was taking his sweet time crapping in the street (broad daylight of course). There was also the bum in SF (forget the street) who had his pants down jerkin' it in the general direction of passing tourists.
Any other good stories?

I remember I saw two men in broad daylight walk down the street naked with some kind of protest signs. Some people were ignoring, laughing, taking pictures, etc

My favorite was watching a surfer at Fort Point wearing a Creature from the Black Lagoon type full head covering mask surfing the break from under the GG bridge hooking around Fort Point like they do.
He was in full wetsuit and the full head mask heckling tourists from the white water after he'd ride in.
Hanging on his board splashing, screaming and yelling random sh*t at them. It was pretty excellent.
Tourists were totally freaked out.
