Both of them deserve each other! The 12B that BofA may owe AIG, well just have to see who has the best lawyers!

BoA is one of the biggest lenders in Florida (and I think continues to be), although since acquiring countrywide they have lost Billions.

Which will be reimbursed to all the people who have accounts there. Provided they can show the proper proof of funds, and BoA has accurate records.

OK, so I don't like BOA either.
So, my question is, what bank do folks in this are like and use? Is there a good local, community bank that isn't getting ready to be shut down? I ask because I have recently moved back to the area and only have read stories on line about many banks in FL being closed down. I would like to switch our accounts to a good, local bank that has online banking, etc. I know BOA stock went in the tank today, but I don't own their stock, just have accounts there.
BTW, we live in Parrish if that makes any difference as far as branches go.
That being said, I've never had a problem with BOA, but I don't agree with many of their policies. It sure is hard to find a good business to deal with anymore.

and where were the S&P and Moody's rating systems when this was going on--
with their heads up their cash registers...

and how much of a golden parachute did Kenneth Lewis leave with--
he should be charged personally--
although he has maintained that the Paulson came ot him and told him BoA had to buy CountryWide--
yeah--sure...

We like Welcome to Achieva Credit Union -- but their online banking isn't the greatest.

Chase and Citibank are both decent, but charge a monthly fee if you don't meet their requirements.

I would stay as far away as possible from Wells Fargo and BoA.

I agree on Wells, nothing but horrible customer service with them on multiple accounts over the years. Same with Wachovia (now Wells Fargo).

While they aren't local, I've been extremely happy with Suntrust over the last few years. We've seen consistently good customer service in multiple branches in FL, and SC.

I do all my banking with Credit Unions. No complaints with them. Just research one in your area that's financially strong and consider switching over.

Banks hate them and they're much more consumer oriented.
