Not necessarily. With fewer deadbeat taxpayers and abandoned properties, and with higher taxable values, the taxing authorities may be able to lower their millage rate. Taxable values can go up without the actual tax going up with it. Who knows? Maybe taxes might even go down....hey, it could happen!

There is an excellent review of some real estate things going on in the Jan 15 edition of Community News University Parkway (a free new-ish paper) describing lots of real estate and business transactions happening, and likely to happen in the very near term. I encourage your reading it.
