What NFL teams do you regularly get to watch there on free TV?
How far south do they show Buccaneers games?

If you mean free being an OTA antenna-
13-1 [FOX] Bucs and other NFC teams
10-1 [CBS] AFC teams, some Dolphins games
8-1 [NBC] Sunday night game
How far south would be determined by the size and height of the antenna. Somewhere around south Venice might be max. Just east of I-75 207 Bee Ridge Rd is about 40 miles from the transmission tower in Riverview.
If further south- point antenna to North Ft. Myers towers
36-1 [FOX]
11-1 [CBS]
20-1 [NBC]
To find where to point antenna and size of antenna needed, go to-
antennaweb.org or tvfool.com

Sorry, I should have been more clear. By free TV, I meant games you can watch on local affiliates without having to have DirecTV's Sunday Ticket.
For example, here in Northern Oregon we to watch almost all of the Seattle Seahawks games. In Southern Oregon they get to watch most all of the San Francisco 49ers games.

Pretty much Bucs and a little Dolphins. If neither of them are playing sometimes you'll sometimes get the Jaguars. Basically it sucks. Even if you have cable it might be worth getting an indoor antenna because you'll get a higher resolution picture OTA. If I have to watch the Bucs at least I don't have to pay for it.

^^^^
Fact about HD resolution. Receiving HD from cable/sat companies is compressed to 1440, permitted by FCC to save and spread bandwidth. Receiving HD from an OTA antenna is full 1920, on the 'prime -1' channels. All sub channels -2 thru -6 are still 480

Very interesting. Could you explain what prime -1 and -2 thru -6 mean please?

The prime channels are what we are use to seeing, 3,8,10,13,16,22,28,32,38,39,40,44,50,66 All in 1920 HD [x 720 or 1080]
When TV went digital, the FCC allowed channels to add up to 5 sub channels. There are over 30 available from Tampa. [all SD 4:3 480] When TV pic size is at 'zoom', screen is filled, no distortion.
If you use an antenna, the channels will show as- [examples]
8-1 WFLA NBC
8-2 MEtv
13-1 WTVT FOX
13-2 MOVIES
16-1 WUSF
16-2 KIDS
16-3 Create
16-4 KNOWLED
39-1 WSNN 'news'
39-2 GRIT 'movies for men'
39-3 LAFF comedy movies
50-1 Spanish programs
50-2 Bounce 'entertainment and movies for the black community'
50-3 GET 'pre 1980 SONY owned movies'
50-4 Escape 'entertainment and movies for women'
