Favorite non chain restaurant from Sarasota Memorial Hospital up to Manatee River.

Here's the criteria:
-has to be a true sit down restaurant, not a "deli or sub shop" (yes I'm from the North)
-this would be the opposite of the $15 and under thread. I would say $40+ for an entree and a drink (or appetizer if you don't drink) per person

I think that's about it....GO!

Well, we really enjoy Pier 22 on the Manatee River in Bradenton. You can get anything from a sandwich/burger or happy hour appetizers to full blown somewhat expensive dinners. The food is good and the views on the river are spectacular, with indoor dining, patio dining and terrace dining. By far better ambiance and views than anything Sarasota has to offer (JMO).

I do not like any restaurants in Sarasota. It's too expensive for me to eat out, plus it is just not really worth it. I have worked at Sarasota restaurants and the workers are under paid and that is kinda sad considering how much money all their customers have.
