if you like Italian food(not Italian American)- check out my favorite-La Scarpetta, in a shopping center near the corner of Beneva and Tuttle Ave. NE corner of intersection. Marina Jack is hard to beat, as well as Sharky's sister restaurant in Venice.

I think Shore in St. Armands is one of the most romantic, best restaurants in Sarasota. It's on the second floor and the interior is almost completely outdoors so the views are amazing. The back dining room roof completely retracts.
