Just wanted to throw out a big old thanks to everyone here who has given help and advice to us as we have planned our move down here. We got a lease today on a great little place out on Siesta Key, more affordable than we expected, and just a few steps from Crescent Beach. Looking forward to becoming members of the community here, and all the help we received on this forum was invaluable.

Check out the Blase Cafe (pronounced Blazeh) with the accent above the e. It is a little un assuming place just as you come into town. Try to get a table out on the porch in front of the parking lot. It is different, but you will be very pleasantly surprised how much you enjoy it.

I don't want to hijack the thread but I would also like to say a big thanks to everyone who helped us out. We closed on house Monday and construction (remodel) is underway..

Great suggestion Big House, one of my favorites. Looking forward to Blue Smoke opening soon, we need some great B-B-Q on the Key. The Hub, Anna's Deli-Surfer Sandwich, and the SKOB I love too.
