Hi, I'm moving to Savannah in a few weeks. I have two dogs and want to be prepared for when the time comes that we will need to make a trip to the vet.

I'm looking for a vet that is reliable and knows what they are doing, yet are fairly priced and honest about what my pet needs. Any recommendations? Closer to the downtown historic district area of Savannah would be preferred but I will travel for a good vet!

Also, is there a 24 hour Animal Hospital in case (hopefully not) we ever have an emergency after hours?

Thanks!

I only know Pooler, and we take our pets to Godley Station Animal Hospital. They have a website you can check out. It is about 15 miles from downtown Savannah.
There is an emergency vet somewhere in south Savannah, but it is very expensive. We used it once, but they really charge a premium.

Central Animal Hospital is right downtown. There are several vets who practice out of the same office. I've used them in the past and have recently returned after adding a new pet. Their hours are good and I like the location. Just getting to know their staff again. So far they are friendly and professional. They have a parking lot behind the office if you don't want to park on busy Bull St.

I take mine to Southside Animal Hospital. Love them. Good people. I had a sick dog, called them, they asked me a bunch of questions over the phone, and were honest about not needing to bring my dog in, and saving me 80$. They are priced good, and the vet really loves the animals.
