He's been off TV for a while now.

I do remember him coming to my school, Thunderbolt Elementary, when I was younger and meeting him when I was 8.

Funny you should mention that, because I remember his coming to Central Junior High (Effingham) when I was in eighth grade to speak at our "Career Day". It was a bit of a shock to see he was not as tall as he appeared on TV, but luckily we don't have a height requirement to be a good reporter/anchor.
