Hello all!

My husband and I are considering a move to Savannah area next year. He is currently in the Air Force and have less than 10 months left in. He is looking for a Gulfstream job and ANG so we are looking for a great area to live in close to Gulfstream.

Just a little background about us, we are in the late 20's early 30's, no kids yet, just two 60-pound sweet labs but planning to start a family in the next year or two and we plan to homeschool our future babies.

Your input and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I would also love to hear about the living cost. We have Louisville KY in our option but we keep coming back to this one.

Louisville will be cheaper, I used to live in Kentucky and taxes overall are cheaper there along with housing costs.

We moved from NE Ohio, and I think the property values were pretty comparable. Of course, the mid west particulars are all a little different, but on the whole, I think you will find them comparable. If you were moving from the far west or east coasts, it would be a shocker.

We are moving from Arkansas. I think my husband is pretty sure about moving to Savannah.

How's the traffic there? I heard about the new outlet mall in Pooler. And what's the weather like?

The weather is about the same as Arkansas except hotter and more humid for much longer and less cold in the winter.
