If you are coming down I-95, there is an intersection at Hwy 204 called Gateway Savannah. Tons of motels/hotels and places to eat.

Hi elizamary, I was looking on Trip Advisor and the reviews there reflect that the number one pick for Savannah is a Hampton Inn at the same exit that Padgett2 references above. Thanks for starting a useful thread, eliza. Thanks for the insight, Padg. Can't wait to hang in Savannah this weekend. One of my fave towns!

Eliza, I will (have fun). You do the same when you stop there. I used to use Savannah as a stop between FL and road trips to see family in WV. Now that I live south of Charlotte, Savannah is just a hop, skip and jump for me to visit for weekend getaway, so I look forward to spending more time there. It's a GREAT place to hang out. I tell people about it all the time. Definitely a must-see place. Have a safe trip!

I did get a hotel called the La Quinta off of 95. We will be staying there to rest up on the way down and possibly on the way back too.
