The barrier walls were added because the new design moves the ramps closer to Southbridge.

When are changes coming to the I-16, I-95 Interchange?

I’m so eager for this to get started. This will make 16 a bit more pleasant and lit up at night. For a portion at least... I’m also hoping they really do extend that widening portion to Pooler Parkway. I think they said they would earlier, but the new updates continue to say it will start at 95.

It's about time it starts this year. Also GDOT needs to put lights along all of I-16 between Pooler Pkwy and DT Savannah.

The one thing GDOT really needed to do is fix the 516 to 16 intersection, it's dangerous. Guess the one thing is they are not going to do is? So odd they built it merging from the left, when they had plenty of space when they originally built it. GDOT bungles things, except cutting trees they are good at that.
