Video: Spanish Designer Demonstrates Spray-On Clothing | Popular Science

YouTube - Spray-on clothing!

Quote:
The sprayable shirt consists of short fibers mixed with polymers, dissolved into a solvent that allows it to be sprayed from an aerosol can or high-pressure gun, according to the Guardian. Torres can use wool, linen or acrylic fibers to change the texture of the fabric, the Guardian reports. The resulting fabric can be removed and washed with the rest of your laundry.

That's some crazy stuff. Just imagine the chemicals those three are inhaling as there is a mist in the air all around them

However, if the model and the other two clowns go through a respirator fit-test, and then wear the proper respirator/cartridge, then it should be fine...except for the model since some of the stuff will be absorbed through her skin. Well...maybe they can add some silicone as a solvent to lubricate her pectoral muscles

<shrug> Google "latex fetish." It started with the natives of south America making rubber boots by dipping their feet in the stuff.

I do not think we are quite ready for spray-on - trousers for example.

Since we already have the airport scanners that see through everything and, understandably, people do not like them, I do not think we are ready to be walking around showing what we have in extra-skin type clothing. I suppose there is always the choice to have it or not.

Absorption is not the same a breathing. Some thin liquids pass through the skin and reach internal organs. For example, when you immerse your hands in a bucket full of gasoline, or MEK, etc. Some other chemicals penetrate your skin when taking a shower (if the chemical is present in the water). Also, very small scratches, pores, and cuts on your skin allow for chemicals to penetrate your skin.

How about spray-on lead underwear to full the scanners
