I think that the law actually set efficiency requirements that will be phased in by 2014 and they seem to have a fairly limited scope.
Yessir..... can't stand the light those CFL thingies put out. I like a warm light, not hospital sterile light.
Did you know that one can get 'warm' light CFLs? There's a great difference from the cool lights.
Personally, I like the cool lights for my project lamp; they seem to provide clearer or sharper visibility of my handwork.
