U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time

influenced by the other thread, it reminded me of the US debt clock.

The states are doing a lot better than the Feds. State debt and revenue are nearly equal, but the Fed debt is about 7 times the revenue. But the news media is only talking about states on the brink of bankruptcy.

How many taxpayers can pony up right now and pay their share of the national debt, which is about 100 ounces of gold? A bar of gold equal in weight to a gallon of milk.
