a few years ago when i was 36 i was staying in my aunts guest house. oftentimes after work i would walk up to her main house and sit by the pool. i had a habit of rescuing insects i saw drowning in this pool.. anyway onetime i saved this beetle from drowning with the net.. i sat him over on the bricks of the poolhouse..

he had this like florescent greenish shell for a back, these antennae, that ended in small orange balls.. i watched him, as he cleaned himself up after nearly drowning, he sat there on his haunches, and he looked strong as hell.. he had these like, armor plates, one covering his head, like a triangular plate covering his head, with the narrow end of a triangle towards his head with the broader side toward the back.. he had these plates on his elbows i remember clearly, and if im not mistaken, plates on his legs also - he was quite armored with his weak points being well-covered, and i have to say he looked cool as hell and i sat there watching him for awhile

im telling you, if anyone has ever thought about a spacecraft coming to earth and creatures emerging from it, this cool beetle, looked like he had this weird space-age plate armor on

anyone, know what beetle this might have been? this was in Mobile, Alabama, summer 2010

thanks!
