For example what tools except someone else's experience (like asking someones opinion on this forum), one could use to get good scientific understanding of certain country and its features (geographical, social, environmental etc).

I'll start you out with an answer. The Internet is a tool for gathering tremendous amount of information about the things you just mentioned!
Are you looking for facts? As for a school assignment? Why not start with the encyclopedia. If you want to further break it down - try the CIA country reports.

I almost always start at a search engine like Google, and I make an attempt to search using at least three or four different but related words.
Typical searches might be lists of words such as:
Honda Accord 1994 EX fuel tank
or
video card benchmark NVIDIA 8500GT
or even
Atlanta crime statistics metro 2008
To obtain a "scientific understanding of certain country and its features (geographical, social, environmental etc)", such a search is almost certainly going to expose one or more other useful sites. Research is the act of making the first search and then using it as the basis for other searches. It takes time, but as you drill down you'll find (and hopefully learn) all sorts of stuff...
You all probably don't understand what i am asking for, at this point i am trying to build full list of sources of data, not find them.
For example look at this picture what you suggesting me is to find leafs from that tree e.g. article, post on forum, statistical report, map etc. but you know how long it can take to read all articles look at all maps read all posts and check all statistics it could take ages, especially when you don't know what kinds of them do exist. Also there could be other branches of that tree that i simply did not thinked for. So i am asking you to name that branches instead of naming leafs, because i find knowing the tree not only some of its leafs is much more convenient way, don,t you agree?
So people you cannot classify all the sources of data useful for country research?
