CSI: Crime Scene Investigation fans take heart, the odds a DNA match has nailed the wrong criminal are at worst 1 in 3.4 million, suggests a new analysis.

Over the last two decades, "DNA typing," where investigators match crime-scene sample to known suspects genetic profiles has emerged as a crime-fighting tool.
