So I'm moving to the area to work near the Southcenter mall. I am a single parent of a 6 year old girl. I am looking at the kennydale area, as the elementary school there seems to have a good reputation. I have heard that Tukwila and some areas of renton have some crime issues, but also that some areas are ok. what is the consensus regarding kennydale?

thanks in advance.

Default Renton / Tukwila

I live in Tukwila.
There are some good areas and not so good areas.
Renton is a lot larger than Tukwila; lots of different areas.

You might also consider Burien, which is very close to Southcenter as well.

Kennydale is nice, but parts of it are too close to I-405. The school is well thought of.
