I hear there are alot of poker rooms in seattle, big and small ones.I am moving out of the mid west in the spring and want and area where I can play alot of poker and possibly get a job dealing, I used to deal poker and blackjack.I also want to live near the pacific, never even seen it and am so looking forward to a life near the sea.Kyaking near some killer whales would be life long goal of mine,do people do that often? thank you

The Seattle area has a lot of casinos, so I'm assuming finding places to play poker, won't be a problem. However, Seattle is not on the Pacific ocean. We're in the middle of the state (well, maybe 1/3 of the way in), located on the Puget Sound. You have to drive west to the coast to actually be at the Pacific Ocean. Just so you know.

I don't think there are places to play poker regularly and legally within the City of Seattle, but there are many card rooms and mini casinos throughout the area. Illegal in some of the cities like Seattle, Bellevue, and Issaquah, but there are a couple of casinos on Interurban in Tukwila, a couple on Rainier in Renton, a couple on Renton Avenue in Skyway, maybe one north of the city on Aurora, as well as tribal casinos in Marysville, Auburn, and Snoqualmie. Hooters has a couple of combination restaurants and casinos, one in Boulevard Park and one in Renton ( which also has a bowling alley in it.)

... Actually, traditionally the Orca comes into the Puget Sound during the spring to fall. There are pictures where you can even see the Seattle DT in the background. But sadly, all's not well for them.

Also, I wanted to add the link since going Orca watching is a big Seattle tourist thing to do.

Now if they could only play poker on those boats before the Orcas come into view, he'd be all set.
