We live off the grid & rather rustic (although I sit here on Wild Blue LOL) so for us we put this rubbermaid stock tank/chofu water heater together as our outdoor bathtub.

It looks just like this one at Mother Earth News:

Well, now, that looks really inviting! I can just imagine a nice, hot soak with snow falling.

So how do you keep a system like this clean and sanitary? Do you use regular hot tub chemicals?

I was intrigued that the manufacturer offers a propane unit, too.

We fill it from our well with solar pump & drain it after each use, rinsing the tub out.

We have a lovely wood Snorkel Tub that we never use any more. We really need to sell it.
