If the Iraq and Afghan War, and ISIS are counted, then perhaps yes.

When WW III starts the entire world is going to participate. All the current wars and skirmishes are just a precursor to what's coming. I believe it will begin when a couple of ME countries nuke Israel and in turn Israel demolishes Damascus,Syria with nukes. After that, it's on.

Don't think WW III is here or near? Looks like we are halfway there.

Here is the world war map.

I believe it is best stated "West vs East", yet it's more difficult than that. Plus the fact that some in the West are going to defect, (Philippines?). It might be better stated "West vs The Rest". Seems everyone is gunning for the US, including half of it's own citizens. Europe is being overran and they have no resolve to stop it.
We gave up the Philippines once. It's ok.

Is the Vatican calling the shots in DC? No? Ok, I guess the spread of religion is fine too.

Is the KKK outgunned on all fronts? Yeah, and good riddance.

The entrance of nukes and worldwide economic development makes conventional war too expensive to wage. Our tanks will someday seem like plate armor in medieval times. Expensive and amazingly crafted, but utterly useless against a guy with a gun. There's a few areas in the world that are still nasty, but the armor wars are done. Drones, intelligence, infrastructure and propaganda are the weapons of today.

The war is economic. Access to capital. Access to markets. America was a master in this realm. They were so good that it would take decades of defeats before anyone started thinking they might lose the war. China's been racing ahead with its trade surplus for decades to fanfare. Germany has been doing the same to much less fanfare. Germany doesn't control Europe of course, but certainly the EU doesn't control Germany. Both have a few objectives yet in order to be realistic in trying to start bullying the US around, but if China can figure out how to work internationally or if Germany can Federalize Europe a bit more and get them pulled a bit further in we face two larger markets than our own.

Meanwhile, we sit divided, arguing over which Kardashian/News event side we're on and getting high, importing goods at a record rate.

Define WWIII? We all assumed it would a be a nuclear exchange. If its not, then you will have to define what it is.

Ron. Right now Syria has anti-aircraft batteries from Russia that can take out
Israel nukes. Russia also has anti-ICBM, as does Israel, but one advantage
Russia has is they can shut down guided missiles, ships, planes, from all
electronic and radar-based communications. There are weapons in existence
which have not been used in the field, although Russia did use its jamming tech
to create a 600km dome over Syria last year. Russia has "dome of protection"
electronic defense. It's all rather complicated.

Lazy talk of nukes is passe' in 2016. If WW3 actually starts, we do not know
which missiles will hit and which will be neutered. Many new weapons will
be employed that the public and politicians are unaware of.

Technically there is no WWIII. WWIII has to be declared by an act of congress.

There is a huge difference between what we are doing now and an all out war like what we had in WWII.

The question is, are we in a covert war, but by the very nature of a covert war means the public won't know about it.

All the countries are too deep in debt not to have WW3.
Good way to divert sheepies attention and reset the finance.

This^

The war has begun.

Mostly in the economic stages now.

Just a matter of time before it "goes hot".
