No power=Dump. Not spinning= Easy DIY part to replace.

Sometimes, if you're lucky, unplugging it or just letting it sit for a little while will result in it "fixing" itself.
Mine totally died two weeks ago after I inadvertently ran it while empty.A few hours later I noticed there was a display , tried it and it's been fine.

If your potato was 1.5 years old, you might as well just toss it.

Appliances that fail unreasonably for me get tossed - AFTER they have been stripped for useable parts and spent time at the end of my target range. If I am ever attacked by microwaves, blenders, weed eaters, or computers I will prevail!

OP - you could try contacting the maker of the microwave - can't hurt.
