I've been looking for waterproof croc type shoes that my son can wear in our extremely muddy backyard. I found the croc brand without holes but they are $30.

Does anyone know any other croc knockoffs without holes or fur? I prefer the rubber shoes because i can throw them in the wash and let them air dry.

He doesn't want to wear rain boots. He's 9 yrs old and a size 2.

Chinese make a ton of these imitations. You can find them for under 10 dollars. You might have to google croc imitations or check your local kmart/target etc.

How about getting some inexpensive tennis shoes and spraying them with a water proof protector? I’ve used Bostonian (name brand) water & stain protector for leather boots and shoes that has worked well. I can’t remember where I bought it, maybe at a sporting goods store like a hunting, hiking, backpack and camping store. Cheap tennis shoes at Walmart or Target. When he’s finished playing, just hose off the shoes and bring him into the house again. The shoes can air dry outside in the sun. Might want a size larger then he’d normally wear.

Thanks everyone--I will try the tennis shoe with waterproof spray option--sounds easy to throw into the washing machine.

The problem with no shoes is that it's still cold here (Chicago).
